Elegant ambience for haute horlogerie and premium jewellery
The new Les Ambassadeurs shop in Luxembourg is a meeting place for all those who are addicted to haute horlogerie and haute joaillerie. The exclusively designed premises invite passionate collectors of very special unique watches and jewellery lovers alike into an extraordinary interior that offers a unique shopping experience. This is also reflected in the generous glass façade of the building on the corner of Rue du Fossé and Grand Rue, which is reminiscent of New York's Flatiron Building.
Ganter realised the elegant design concept based on designs by the Stuttgart-based architecture and interior design firm blocher partners over a nine-month project period. Highlights included the almost 100 showcases made of anti-theft P5A safety glass. They comprise a mix of counter showcases, wall showcases and top-mounted showcases of various sizes. Each of them uses light bridges from XAL to perfectly illuminate luxurious watches, necklaces, bracelets, rings and ear jewellery – on the ground floor as well as on the upper floor.
The exquisite choice of materials stands for elegance, sophistication and timelessness
Ganter Interior's range of services for this project included numerous hand-painted walls and back walls for the brand presentations of world-famous luxury labels such as Chopard, Boucheron, Bulgari, Chaumet & Co. as well as various furniture surfaces. Warm leather, matt brass finishes and softly draped textiles lend the ambience a touch of living room flair. Shaped natural stones such as Sahara Gold, quartzite or onyx in pink or green with their fascinating iridescent veins create delicate and light-looking accents despite their heavy weight.
Another eye-catching feature is the ash-veneered staircase. Its wall panelling echoes the soft curves and wave pattern of the design concept, which can also be found on the individual pieces of furniture, carpets, accessories, lights and the building itself.
The flowing handrail made of solid ash wood nestles against the balustrade and accompanies jewellery and watch enthusiasts up to the upper floor.
Intimate VIP lounges and a cosy bar atmosphere offer a first-class shopping experience
Visitors to the Les Ambassadeurs store in Luxembourg can expect a cosy atmosphere. For more intimate consultations and sales talks, plenty of time is set aside for customers in the VIP lounges on the upper floor. One of these is located in the all-round glazed top of the approx. 375 m² jewellery shop. Sofas, armchairs, side tables and semi-circular screens in front of translucent curtains, floor-length to the herringbone parquet flooring, create a cosy island of conversation with a view of the Grand Rue.
