Flexible, modular and with a Bistro - Kaiser in Freiburg
In 2017, we converted and redesigned a total area of 1,200 m2 for our long-standing customer Kaiser Mode, in Freiburg. Under the title, #miss underground, in the basement of the tradition-rich ladies’ fashion house we created a young fashion floor including bistro and flea market. The concept also came this time from the architects, Blocher Partners, with whom Ganter, has formed a long-standing and successful collaboration. In order to meet the needs of the young and demanding Kaiser customers, it had to be possible for the staff to decorate without any great effort. Ganter therefore developed a modular and flexible presentation system, which is based mainly on wooden cubes and perforated sheet metal walls. The cubes made of OSB panels can be easily arranged into ever new towers and partition walls in order to restructure the sales area. The same applies to the perforated metal walls, on which designer jeans and hoodies, dresses and jackets are presented. A shelving system was also developed for the shoe department that has a light and friendly effect and allows rapid redecoration. The ash strips used for this come from the immediate vicinity of the department store, directly from the Black Forest. The whole project was completed in a record time of only a few weeks, and was also ready on time thanks to the Ganter trainees who took responsibility for the final assembly of the central furniture.
