Girl's Day and Boy's Day are held once a year throughout Germany. On April 27, 2023, it was that time again and we welcomed a total of six girls and six boys to our power plant in Waldkirch on the so-called Future Day. Among them were external schoolchildren, but also daughters and sons of our colleagues, who were able to experience live for a day what everyday life is like at our company.
It is very important to us to make it clear and also to live that gender plays no role in the Ganter Group. At our company, women are also successful construction engineers, site managers and project managers – professions that are still underrepresented by women.
Our girls were allowed to draw a small project, a jewelry stand, and later assemble it in the workshop and, of course, take it home. Our boys got a taste of the professional fields of commercial project calculation and marketing and produced a promotional film for their product, a cell phone holder.
It was not only a great day for our young and extremely motivated and interested pupils, but also our two apprentices Nadine and Justin as well as our ready trained technical product designer Janet and Océane from the HR department had a lot of fun. They had thought about this day in advance, thought up activities and prepared everything perfectly so that the pupils could take away as much as possible. Many thanks to the wonderful organising team! We are already looking forward to next time!
