Pure Design for Lode & Stijn
Ganter is realising the REMI restaurant in Berlin-Mitte on the ground floor of the new Suhrkamp Verlag building by Bundschuh Architekten. The interior design by Ester Bruzkus Architekten focuses on high-quality, carefully selected and handcrafted materials. At the centre of the room is the open kitchen in a pure design with elements of raw perforated aluminium, rough stucco, red through-dyed MDF fixtures, transparent lacquered birch, stainless steel and a deep red granite that combines all the colours used in REMI. Optimal room acoustics are also ensured by the acoustic absorbers inserted behind perforated metal sheeting and the wall design with acoustic stucco around the kitchen unit. The furniture in the guest room by Studio Coucou combines custom-made tables made of birch multiplex, polished steel and Forbo linoleum with chairs by Please Wait To Be Seated, benches with upholstered corduroy fabric by Kvadrat and wall lights by Valerie Objects.
