PRACTICAL SEMESTER

Would you like to use knowledge from your studies in the working world?
Then complete your practical semester with us! In 4 - 6 months you’ll gain an all-round view of working at Ganter and can acquire extensive practical knowledge. You’ll have your own individual point of contact and will be actively involved in projects.

DEGREE THESES

You can write your thesis in various areas with us. At our company, these often follow on from the completion of practical semesters. We will provide you with individual, professional and personal support in finding a topic and performing your work, as well as in all questions you may have about starting your career. The successful completion of your thesis may mark the start of a career in our company.

YOUR QUESTIONS – OUR ANSWERS

HOW DO I APPLY TO GANTER?: Our applicant portal is available for your application. There, you can contact us with a letter explaining your motivation for applying, your specific interest in an internship, or how you would like to tie a job at Ganter in with your dissertation. Your one-page letter on your motivation should also indicate initial thoughts on the subject of your B.A. or M.A. thesis and should further mention why you are qualified for the internship you are seeking. In addition you should also submit a curriculum vitae and references.
WHAT DOES THE TYPICAL RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE LOOK LIKE AT GANTER?: The documents submitted should not be larger than 50 MB and must be uploaded as PDFs to the Ganter applicant portal. There you will have the option of sending up to three documents in addition to the letter and curriculum vitae.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO HEAR AN ANSWER?: Immediately after we receive your application, we will email you a confirmation. It usually takes two to three weeks to review your documents more thoroughly.
WHAT IS THE REST OF THE PROCESS LIKE?: Once we have reviewed the application materials and questioned applicants further by phone, we invite them for an initial “get-to-know-you” interview. This interview is held in person with the appropriate advisors at one of Ganter’s locations. Depending on availability and the cost of a trip, a conversation via Skype, WebEx or FaceTime is also possible if necessary. The goal is to get an initial impression of one another. After an internal consultation, we then decide whether you are a good fit for Ganter and the job being offered.
IN WHICH AREAS CAN AN INTERNSHIP BE DONE?: Depending on your interest, internships can be done in all project and service areas.
WHAT KIND OF GUIDANCE WILL I GET DURING MY INTERNSHIP?: Every student will be given a dedicated contact during his or her intern
WHAT OPPORTUNITIES WILL AN INTERNSHIP WITH GANTER BRING ME?: By doing an internship or writing a dissertation at our company, you will significantly increase your chances of being hired after completing your course – by Ganter as well.
