Up high in one of the most striking buildings in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, Ganter completed the interior fit out of a luxurious private residence. Here, at the heart of an up-and-coming metropolis, Ganter has built a spacious, quiet and lavish loft-style retreat. The L-shaped floor plan effortlessly but clearly divides an open area for friends or Family from a completely private space. In cooperation with the architects from COORDINATION, Ganter implemented an individual interior that manages to play with its central Asian setting while creating an ultramodern spatial structure. Within it, ceilings with slopes and inclines, floor platforms and slanted walls open up new views. Carefully selected materials – such as elegant triangular parquet tiles of Austrian ash or natural stone from Italy or sophisticated lighting – were used for the apartment, along with custom furniture and accessories. High-end electrical installations, an alarm system and state-of-the-art service Engineering round off this extraordinary property. At its sky-high elevation on the 34th floor, it called for advanced planning expertise and precision in order for the partners to stay within the tight time frame of only six months in the face of difficult working conditions and long distances. But today, it is a place that affords inhabitants and their visitors a spectacular panoramic view of the city and the foothills of the Tian Shan mountain system.
