Sonnenhöhe

In the midst of the idyllic Upper Black Forest, between village surroundings and untouched nature, the "Sonnenhöhe", a project for diverse forms of living in old age, was realised.
This project encompasses a variety of living arrangements for the elderly – from spacious service apartments to accessible, one to two-room flats for assisted living as well as exclusive holiday homes and a nursing home with a daytime café. The various floor plans were designed with the intention of enriching communal life, and a wide range of services for senior-friendly living is available.The planned combination of apartments therefore represents an alternative to urban care facilities and senior housing, while offering many different leisure activities. The first construction phase was successfully completed in September 2020 and handed over for use on time. It consists of a building for assisted living with barrier-free Privately owned flats and a doctor’s practice as well as the affiliated nursing home with two inpatient assisted living communities, day care and rental flats for assisted living. A modern café and a practice for physiotherapy complete the extensive range of services.
