Vintage Fashion Store
Ganter has been involved in interior fit out work for the Kaiser fashion house on several occasions since 2004. The „S1“ branch in Freiburg’s historic city centre is particularly notable. Cool, rough and provocative, international labels and trendy designer collections for the modern man are presented here in the hip style of an old Berlin building on around 900 m². After the makeover of Ganter according to designs by blocher partners, Kaiser presents itself from a completely new angle – inspired by urban modernity, art and timeless architecture. In the interior, rough industrial style meets Belle Epoque, clear lines meet ornamental patterns and combine to form an unmistakable blend. Quarry stone walls, lots of steel and light as well as selected vintage furniture and well-placed details create a serene atmosphere and a perfect backdrop for progressive menswear from all over the world. A special highlight is a connecting system of water pipe sleeves used on furniture and shelves and nitrided on the surface with a special QPQ process. The resulting impression of a certain patina is ideally suited to the shop’s overall vintage concept. With the aim of emphasising the factory character, the once glossy walls were distressed using a special buffing method and an appearance of rust and old wood was created. In close and intensive exchange with Kaiser and the architects, Ganter thus achieved the unconventional look for the young generation.
