Läderach presents new branding in pilot store
Premium chocolatier Läderach's newly launched store concept invites shoppers to enjoy distinctive shopping experiences. Anyone who has ever been to one of the Swiss chocolate manufacturer's more than 100 stores spread around the world has seen dark interiors in the different shades of the cocoa bean up to now. That is now part of the company's history. From now on, the customer journey through the pilot store will be flanked by softly flowing furniture with refined and surprising details, sweeping ceiling recesses and light objects, natural materials and a sensual shopping atmosphere.
The new brand identity of Läderach (Schweiz) AG, which the Frankfurt-based design agency Liganova developed for the traditional company founded in 1962, will in future be presented in a friendly, bright ambience that is contemporary and inviting. The L-shaped sales counter with its generous display and checkout area borders directly on the shop window facade and offers customers a first taste of what they can expect inside the store from the outside. Next to the display in the checkout counter, free-floating shelves made of natural stone slabs with broken edges like chocolate bars and free-standing sales furniture with inviting self-service trays present the sweet treats.
Everything in the flow – like chocolate in the manufacturing process
By deconstructing the existing shop fittings of this established shop in the Sihlcity shopping mall in Zurich, the redesign took off. Drywall work, HVAC, painting, flooring and electrical work were required until the reopening in spring 2023. While these works were gradually carried out in a coordinated manner by the Ganter project teams, at the same time an external joinery produced the high-quality sales furniture which, with its dynamic lines, is now the eye-catcher on the shop floor and forms the focal point of the shop with its tubs full of chocolatey treats. They contribute significantly to the new look of the Pilot branch.
Their design is reminiscent of melting white chocolate, just waiting to be broken off and eaten piece by piece in anticipation. Lacquered fronts, powder-coated bases in a golden hue, toppings made of robust solid surface material and an interior that offers plenty of storage space for supplies, packaging materials and advertising materials. But there is no question of melting away: a constant 20° C room climate was the requirement. This temperature is permanently guaranteed with the help of appropriate cooling and ventilation systems so that the diverse products made of the finest chocolate retain their shapes and flavours.
Interior fit-out projects are teamwork
This shop conversion was created in close cooperation between our client Läderach and the design agency Liganova and was also a cross-border collaboration between two teams from the Ganter Group. One team each from Ganter Interior in Waldkirch and Ganter Suisse in Schenkon realised this exciting store relaunch together.
Would you like to be part of the team? We look forward to receiving your application for one of the open positions in our job portal.
