LUXURY MEETS LIVING ROOM FLAIR
In September 2022, the fashion label Longchamp opened its doors to the freshly renovated premises in Munich's Residenzstraße. The luxury company from France, founded in 1948, is known worldwide for exclusive bags, shoes, accessories, luggage and elegant clothing. The fashion brand appears in the new shop concept with a significant reduction in the presentation of goods.
In 2014, the flagship store on Munich's luxury mile was opened for the first time with the support of Ganter. Compared to the 2014 shop concept, the new shop design appears more open. The focus is on a familiar, homely feel-good atmosphere, which was realised by Ganter's project and installation team in the project duration of only two months. The interior provides a cosy environment with warm wooden surfaces made of oak, walnut and larch, selected decorative objects and beautifully shaped upholstered furniture. The light colours and harmonious lighting make for a refreshing shopping experience.
The green tones in the store reflect the brand's ecological approach to sustainability. Longchamp thus sets itself apart from the previously rather dark ambience in Residenzstraße and presents itself airy with elaborately curved and filigree furniture, which is sometimes free-standing in the room or almost free-floating, fixed to the walls.
Relax, we care!
Ganter took on both the general contractor and shopfitting work for the renovation of the 340 m² shop, which extends over the ground floor and first floor. Involved in the development process from the very beginning and with the knowledge of the now more than 10 years of cooperation, the Ganter project team supported with expertise and know-how to implement the construction process in the best possible way and on schedule. As part of the conversion, the floor was renewed and the ceilings and walls, including light coves and recessed luminaires, were overhauled. At the same time, the necessary connections for the electrification of the existing and the new state were prepared in close coordination.
'A particular challenge was the European Championship taking place in and around Munich at the same time as the expansion, with the triathlon running directly through the construction site on Residenzstraße. Through our careful planning and a clean implementation of the trades, our team was nevertheless able to ensure the successful completion of the project.'
