Curtain up for second Lynk & Co Club in Italy
After four months of realisation, the e-mobility manufacturer Lynk & Co will open its second club on Italian soil in November 2022 in the heart of Milan.
In collaboration with Ganter Italia, Ganter Germany and the Swedish architectural firm New Order Arkitektur from Gothenburg have transformed the tenth European club into another place to be. Because Lynk & Co clubs are not just about 01 and its many usage models, they are workspaces, bars and hotspots for social media influencers.
The backdrops of the clubs are fancy, endearingly wacky and shrill. This can also be seen in Milan at Corso Venezia 6 through the large shop window front. In addition to a few characteristic interior eye-catchers such as the custom-made sofa in bright sunshine yellow, the metal bar with its rough back wall, the curved 3-D armchairs, the recycled scrap aluminium cubes or the curved street lantern by Saletti, interested, curious and fans are also magically attracted by colourful plays of light.
In this interior shopfitting project by long-time client Lynk & Co, materials, colours and haptics are once again strongly in focus. The walls are sometimes raw and original, sometimes partially painted, sometimes completely mirrored, as seen in the Oval Room. Bare bricks are framed by pink-painted, oozing joints, the large screen in the bar area almost seems to take a back seat behind the green roughcast surface. On an area of 220 m², as in every club, there is a lot of attention to detail.
A lot of love goes into the details here
Ganter's project team is the contact for individual customer wishes, the realisation of the design concepts and the craftsmanship at the highest level. In the new club in the heart of Milan, unusual design ideas from the New Order Arkitektur team were once again realised. For example, the gaudy candy-box toilets, in which the guest is surprised by a fabulous sweetscape when opening the door. Or the wildly patterned floors, which are sometimes floral, sometimes graphic. The many LED light strips shining in different colours are absolute eye-catchers, as are the large mirror surfaces. The walls of the cabinet of a tarot card reader, designed to look old, are made of walls of oiled old wood. They harmonise with the furniture from the antique dealer. Wherever the eye looks, there is a lot of attention to detail here. And then there is the actual object of desire, the Lynk & Co 01, which is set off by colourful ceiling lights and brightly lit fabric columns.
The spiral of light that already stands out from the street, which filigree winds around one of two central columns and can be controlled in the different colour spectrums, also directly invites all automobile and sustainability fans to discover it and fits perfectly with the lively style of Milan's city centre.
'Being present in this city means being part of a living beauty that innovates every day. The Milanese community is pulsating with ideas, and with our club we want to create space not only to change mobility, but also to influence people's lifestyles.'
Alain Visser CEO, Lynk & CoThe perfect location for projects, events and workspaces
So the club is not just a car dealership – once again, a place has been created where projects, special events and workshops bring together all those interested in the Lynk & Co community and encourage them to exchange new ideas and visions in an inspiring and creative atmosphere.
However, it is not only the unusual style of the dealership that encourages such a visit, because Lynk & Co also remains true to the motto behind the brand, 'Sustainability as a creative engine'. In addition to converting all offices and clubs to 100 % renewable electricity, the club in Milan also presents unusual decorative items and unique upcycled fashion brands displayed on custom-made furniture – recycled materials always welcome.
